Jani Wase Vinick, Esq.
Ms. Vinick received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Duke University in 1988 and a Juris Doctor from the University of Pennsylvania School of Law in 1992. She graduated from law school cum laude and Order of the Coif and while in law school served as a Legal Writing Fellow. Upon graduating from law school, she received an award from the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers in recognition of the pro bono work that she did in the field of family law as a law student.
After graduating from law school, Ms. Vinick served as a law clerk to the Honorable Phyllis W. Beck, Appellate Judge in the Superior Court of the State of Pennsylvania. After her clerkship, she worked for Anderson Kill Olick & Oshinsky and then Smith Campbell & Paduano, both in New York City, practicing civil litigation. Ms. Vinick joined Haber Silver Simpson & Russoniello in 2006 as an associate and she is now a senior associate in the firm. She is admitted to practice in the States of New Jersey and New York as well as the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and for the District of New Jersey.
Ms. Vinick’s practice is devoted almost entirely to family law, at the trial and appellate levels, including divorce, prenuptial agreements, custody issues, child support, alimony and domestic violence. Ms. Vinick is on the list of court-approved, trained Divorce Mediators and volunteers as a Family Law Early Settlement Panelist in Morris County. She is a member and past presenter of the Barry I. Croland Family Law Inn of Court. She is a member of the Family Law Section of the New Jersey State Bar Association, and the Family Law Section of the Morris County Bar Association.
Ms. Vinick also has a Master’s of Social Work degree from New York University and has experience as a clinical social worker doing family, child and individual therapy.
